
Historical/Hysterical Afternoon Tea at Sigginstown Castle
Prudence Stoddard lives in the 18th century and will be your hostess for this Historical & Hysterical Tea Party in the newly renovated Coach House Cafe.
This experience brings people together for an afternoon tea experience like no other! You will drink the teas that would have been available in the 18th century, and eat food that evolved into the classic afternoon tea of the 21st century. All food has history and these delicious choices, savory and sweet ,will delight your palate while enlightening your brain with history, fun and participation. Prudence will tell you about the three new beverages: tea, coffee and chocolate, while explaining each round of food: savory, scone and sweet. You will have plenty of time to relax, enjoy your food and beverage, and meet new people. Lots of Laughter Expected!
Event is from 2 to 4 pm, and you have the option of attending in fancy dress, a fun hat or regular 21st clothing. If you have a cherished tea cup and saucer set, please bring it!
To tour the Castle on the same day, please add the 12:30 tour which will end in time for the Tea Party. The Tea Party requires a minimum of 20 people to occur. So please gather your friends and relations to ensure this event will happen!
Cost is €35 per person
Can't make it during Heritage Week? This event will occur again on Sunday 7 September so you can also book that date!
The event space in Coach House is wheelchair accessible, but the parking and grounds are on field and gravel. Children over age 10 are welcome to attend the event with parents.
