You will be taken on a guided walk of historical Daingean, from the plantation of lands and the creation of Kings County and Philipstown in 1556 to its renaming back to Daingean at the foundation of the state in 1922.
Details of Bully’s Acre, which is behind the spire of the Protestant Church; buried in the graveyard is Charles Dodson, killed in 1803.
Daingean has a Methodist meeting house or church that survives to this day, built in 1820.
Details of the Court House/Town will be delivered, with a unique opportunity to sit in the Judges chair in the Court Room. The Court Room is a very special experience and worth a visit. The Reformatory, Wesley Boarding School and Canal Store will feature too.
