Heritage & Hound Cycle

Hop on your bicycle and we will set off with our friendly local guides on a leisurely culture evening cycle. We will meander through six miles (or so) of our beautiful rural community with the hounds. Bring your best sense of adventure, as we enjoy a rustic and magical summer evening amongst friends, both new and old.

Throughout the evening, discover about Ireland’s traditional horse breeds, the fascinating heritage of the hounds, and hear from a skilled farrier about the art and craftsmanship of horseshoeing through the generations.

After the cycle, relax with us for a cup of tea, homemade brown bread and a chat while enjoying the warm hospitality and unique atmosphere of the countryside, people and community we are ever so lucky to be part of.

Come along for an engaging, authentic, and rustic rural experience celebrating the rich heritage, landscapes, and traditions of County Meath. We look forward to welcoming all who enjoy the outdoors, local heritage, and rural traditions to this family-friendly event.

Online registration closing Monday 17th August 2026 @ 11.59pm.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Bring your own bicycle, cycling helmet & high-visibility jacket (mandatory).
Please dress appropriately for the countryside, event and the weather.
Admission: €10 per bicycle or € 25 for a family of 4 +
Gates open from 6.00pm. Setting off cycling at 06.30pm.
Registration online via the Hunt Gate App is required for all attendees.
