Heritage At Risk

Our event kicks off at 12 noon on Saturday 22nd with a talk on the risk to our Red Squirrel population by Ecologist Donna Mullen.
Historian Kevin V Mulligan with talk about the landscape of the Castle Lake and its surroundings.
Poet Fidel Hogan Walsh will read from her collection of heritage and nature poems.
This is followed by a fun duck race on the river to end the event.
We have utilised the vast array of knowledge and creativity from our own members of the Friends Of Castle Lake Catchment for this event.
They will kindly give of their time and expertise freely to help make it a successful event.
