Helping Shape Clare Island’s Heritage Audio Guide

Clare Island Community Centre is currently working with Abarta Heritage to develop a new digital Heritage Audio Guide for Clare Island, with support from The Heritage Council.
As part of National Heritage Week, we are inviting the community to an informal evening to hear more about the project and help shape the guide as it develops.

We will share the proposed points of interest and themes for the audio guide, which will explore different aspects of Clare Island’s rich history and heritage. Members of the Abarta Heritage team will also join us remotely to hear directly from the community, prompt discussion and gather stories and local knowledge to help inform the script.

The evening will be an opportunity to share local knowledge, stories and memories, suggest places or themes that should be included, and provide feedback on the proposed content.

This will be a relaxed and informal community discussion, and everyone is welcome to come along, listen and contribute. Tea and refreshments will be provided.
