Weather permitting, following the talk those interested can drive out to Labbacallee Wedge Tomb (apx 6km) where Heather will provide further interpretation.
Heather Smith, retired principal of Adair National School, is a well regarded writer. Her works include Adair Through the Ages (2004), Bendigo Gold (2016), and The Labbacallee Coins (2024).
Heather is currently researching and writing a commemorative book dedicated to the legacy of Risteard Ó Glaisne (1927 - 2003) - the prominent Irish language activist, journalist, and biographer.
