Join Melanie Ward, local researcher as she hosts a fascinating talk centred on Gulliver at Quilca. Jonathan Swift wrote a large portion of his classic 1726 novel Gullivers Travels whilst staying at Quilca House in County Cavan visiting his close friend and scolar Thomas Sheridan. This rural and wild landscape made it an ideal retreat to work on his satirical masterpiece.
