To help celebrate Heritage Week, on Saturday 22nd August, Killarney National Park Education Team will be leading guided walks along the Muckross Peninsula.
The walks will explore and discuss some of the many special habitats and species that occur on the peninsula, such as the Yew woodland and Wet woodland, the Arbutus and much more.
The meeting place for the walks is the Muckross School House. The walk will be led twice, one will begin at 10.30am and the other at 1.30pm. The walk will take about 2 - 2.5 hours and will be in a low lying area of the National Park although the terrain will not be suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
