Friends of Tyone Abbey Heritage Week Event

On Monday 17 August 2026, local historian John Flannery will lead a guided walk around Tyone Abbey and Graveyard. This event is to mark the awarding of funding to the group through the Community Monument Scheme by Tipperary County Council and The Heritage Council for the compilation of a Conservation Plan for Tyone Abbey and Graveyard. The plan is currently being drawn up by DKP Partnership, Youghal, Co. Cork.

This walk around the site will look at the history associated with the Abbey and also the lives of some of the noted personalities interred in the surrounding Graveyard.

The event which is free of charge will commence at 7.00 pm and all are welcome.
