Exploring Our Foundations - Irish Dresser Project
On Saturday 23rd August Mick Delahunty Square, Clonmel will be transformed into a Medieval settlement exploring Clonmel's origins as a medieval walled town. As part of the events an illustrated talk will be held in Clonmel Library at 11.30am. Michael Fortune of www.folklore.ie will discuss some of the many traditional Irish dressers he has seen and researched on his travels around Ireland cataloguing this once popular piece of vernacular furniture. Admission is free but booking is required.
