Insects form the most diverse and abundant class of animals on the planet. My panel of Framed Prints displays the stunning beauty and diversity of our often overlooked local butterflies and insects.
Over hundreds of millions or years of evolution they have managed to adapt and survive. And as key pollinators of most of our fruit and vegetables, we owe some of these little creatures a great deal of gratitude! Unfortunately recent studies have shown that more than 40% of insect species are in decline and a third are endangered.
Captured with my macro lens I have portrayed these insects living locally in their natural environment and in close relationship with local flora.
