Discovering the Moths and Butterflies of Westmeath

Join Jesmond Harding, naturalist and recorder of Irish moths and butterflies, at Belvedere House, Gardens & Park to discover the fascinating world of Westmeath's moths and butterfly pollinators.

The morning will begin with an opportunity to view live moths trapped overnight on the grounds of Belvedere, followed by an illustrated presentation showcasing a selection of Ireland's remarkable moth species. Participants will then take part in a guided butterfly walk through the historic and characterful grounds of Belvedere, learning about the diversity, ecology and importance of our pollinating insects.

This event is suitable for anyone with an interest in nature, biodiversity and pollinators.
Please wear clothing suitable for the weather and for walking outdoors. Light refreshments will be provided.

Copies of Jesmond Harding's book on Irish butterflies will be available to purchase on the day.
