Scattery Island contains the remains of an ancient monastery founded by our local Saint Senan, featuring a very distinctive high round tower, cathedral church and several medieval churches, the island also has a working lighthouse, an early 19th century Napoleonic gun battery and wonderfully restored village cottages all to be explored during your visit.
