Curlew Lino Print Workshop

Join visual artist Róisín Doherty for a special Lino Print Workshop following an engaging talk by the Breeding Waders EIP on the curlew, one of Ireland's most iconic and endangered birds.

Long associated with Irish landscapes, folklore and mythology, the haunting call of the curlew has echoed across our wetlands for generations, becoming woven into our natural and cultural heritage. Now under threat, this remarkable bird calls for both awareness and action.

Drawing on what you hear and experience during the talk, this workshop invites you to reimagine the curlew through Lino printmaking, celebrating its beauty while reflecting on its fragile future. Through art, we can help keep the spirit and story of the curlew alive.
