Courtown & Riverchapel Heritage Audit

Join us for a special public event marking National Heritage Week 2026, as we share the story so far of the Coastal Heritage Audit of Courtown and Riverchapel, a major project uncovering and recording the built, archaeological and natural heritage of our coastline and village.

Delivered by Anú Heritage (built heritage & conservation), Slaneyside Heritage (archaeology), Natasha Ariff (ecologist) and Lorraine O'Dwyer (folklorist) working with Courtown Riverchapel Community Development Group and Courtown Heritage Group, the audit is exploring everything from Courtown Harbour, our native woodlands, our coastal dunes, Riverchapel's village core and ecclesiastical sites and the wider hinterland.
