Connected to Nature: Protecting Species from River to Sea

Ireland’s wetlands, rivers and coastal waters are home to extraordinary wildlife, but many species are under increasing pressure. From declining breeding wader populations to endangered angel sharks and the challenges facing otters, protecting these species requires people and organisations to work together.

This Heritage Week, on National Water Day, Nature Network Ireland invites you to Tralee Bay Wetlands for a day of conversation, connection and collaboration.

Hear directly from conservationists working to protect wildlife from river to sea, including:

The event will explore how conservation groups, local communities, landowners, researchers and individuals can share knowledge, build stronger networks and take practical action together.

The talks will be followed by lively discussion and a guided walk around the beautiful Tralee Bay Wetlands, offering a chance to meet others, exchange ideas and discover more about the habitats and species found in the area.

This is an opportunity to connect with people who care about Ireland’s natural heritage and to explore how working together can create a stronger future for wildlife.

The event is free, but booking is required.
