Guided Tour of Clopook Church & Graveyard & The Dún of Clopook Cave

To celebrate Heritage Week 2025 join Laois Heritage Society on a guided tour of Clopook Church and Graveyard and the Dún of Clopook Cave.

Explore the medieval church and view some of the beautiful crafted headstones and inscriptions. Hear about the history and folklore of the area and learn about the recent conservation and pollination project and the logging of headstone inscriptions for historicgraves.com.


The site is 200m from eircode R32EY16 which will be sign posted on the day.

Ground in the graveyard is uneven so please wear appropriate footwear. The journey to the cave involves crossing a field from the graveyard and an upward climb into the Dún to the cave.
