Colgan Heritage Committee Presents a Two-Day Exhibition for National Heritage Week 2025.
“Comparing and Contrasting 1925 and 2025 (and lots in between)”

The exhibition takes place in the historic Colgan Hall, Carndonagh, from 11:00am to 4:00pm each day.

You are invited to take a journey through time — examining a century of change, growth, and cultural development.

Visitors can expect a rich and engaging display exploring how life has evolved over the past 100 years in Ireland and around the world. Topics include:
Education
Toys & Games
Fashion
Entertainment
Sport
Transport
Technology
World & National Events
A Review of Local and National Newspapers from Across the Decades
And much more
There will be a feature on Sir Harry Neville Thompson, perhaps the most famous Clonmany/Carndonagh figure you've possibly never heard of — a fascinating individual whose story deserves to be told.

Adding to the weekend’s events, local historian Dessie McCallion will lead a Walk & Talk, offering insightful commentary and stories that bring our shared heritage vividly to life. There will also be a display of local photographs, an audio visual display, talks and a sale of books to be enjoyed.

Admission to the exhibition is free, and all are welcome. Please keep an eye to the local press and social media for further details.
