This is a guided tour of Kildare Town that delves into Kildare's origins as a powerful religious centre, revealing how it grew from pagan beginnings into one of Irelands key Monastic centres. During the Tour you will learn about the danger of losing the ancient wisdom and knowledge of our ancestors and their connection with nature.
This guided tour although mainly on flat ground does cross roads and on to footpaths at different levels. There is car parking available but it is limited in the town centre.
The town is accessible by bus (Dublin Coach, TFI) and by Irish Rail.
