Caring for Lough Ennell catchment, for well-being, nature and future generations

A pop up exploration hub with local anglers and catchment scientists to engage with community, explore connections with Lough Ennell and surrounding landscapes. We'll share stories about fishing, restoration of important trout spawning habitat and the long heritage in Mullingar of people fishing the lake, one of last European wild brown trout fisheries. Its heritage at risk due to water quality and habitat loss. Lake & Land is a new community effort to care for our lake through stewardship and collaboration.
