Bugs, Flowers and a Fairy Lake
Come celebrate Wild Child Day at Dún na Sí where we will be exploring the park’s fairy lake. The lake is actually a turlough, a special kind of vanishing lake, that will be (mostly) dry on the day. We will be exploring the bugs and wildflowers in this unique habitat with the help of nets, hand lenses and bug jars.
Bring/wear: wellies, clothing suitable for the weather, and any bug jars or magnifying glasses you may have.
Getting there: Meet outside the café in the amenity park. Parking is €2 for the day or you can come by bicycle on the Old Rail Trail greenway.
