
Bug hunt at Beaumont Quarry
As part of National Heritage Week Nature Network Ireland invite participants to join a guided invertebrate survey exploring the diverse insect and minibeast populations found in Beaumont Quarry Wildlife Area.
Under expert guidance, attendees will learn to identify a range of species including beetles, arachnids, and other invertebrates, while gaining insight into their ecological significance and role within the wider food web.
This engaging session is suitable for participants of all ages and experience levels, offering a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of local biodiversity through direct observation in the field.
Led by NNI ecologist Robbie Carroll, this event is part of the Valuing Insects project.
