
Botanical Printing, Tour and Lunch at Sigginstown Castle
Spend a lovely afternoon at Sigginstown Castle learning about botanical printing, art and heritage! Join local Wexford Artist Beata Bekalska as she guides you through this workshop.
Meet at Sigginstown Castle Coach House at noon (12 p.m.) and take a walk outside to forage and select some plants to use for your prints. At 12:30 take a tour of the tower and see the artwork in the castle, including some. images that may inspire your own creativity. Have lunch of quiche or sandwich with green salad or crisps, beverage and home made cake. Then make your own botanical print using the foraged plants from earlier (or Beata will have some for you to use).
A relaxing way to spend the day inside with a little outside inspiration. A minimum number of five participants is required to hold this workshop. The fee of €55 is a great value including the art workshop, materials, lunch and a tour!
Please do not turn down the Cul-De-Sac road or use Eircode as you will need to turn around. The main gate will be open which is on the Norman Way - use Google Maps for "Sigginstown Castle". GPS and Google Maps link for public entrance: 52.205977, -6.444603. The Coach House is accessible by ramp and has accessible toilets. The driveway is gravel. The tower for the tour requires ability to ascend steep stairs with hand rails one each side. You do not need to ascend the entire tower to take part in this workshop. You can take the first part of the tour at ground levels.
