Witness traditional craftsmanship in action as our blacksmiths demonstrate the creation of a handcrafter wrought iron gate for Killarney House. This will give visitors a unique opportunity to watch the gate take shape as iron is heated in the forge and carefully shaped using time-honored blacksmithing techniques. The blacksmiths will explain each stage of the process, from design and forging to shaping and finishing, while sharing history of the trade and its vital role in Irelands architectural and rural heritage.
