The Ballycarney stream rises near the summit of Sliabh Bhui, passing through the Wexford countryside before flowing into the river Slaney at Ballycarney. Many people pass over it everyday without knowing its rich natural heritage.
Join us at the banks of the stream, by the old post office Ballycarney where Patrick Foran from Inland Fisheries will be discussing the Ballycarney streams aquatic life and the various factors that can have an impact on local water quality and fish habits. This promises to be an interesting and informative talk. All are welcome.
Please avoid parking in front of the cottage and on the public road and crossroads as it can be very busy with traffic. Free parking is avaliable at the back of the cottage and can be accessed along the Ferns to Ballycarney road.
