Presented by Living Youghal, this evocative self-guided tour invites you to explore one of Ireland’s oldest parish churches still in continuous use. Rooted in the heart of Youghal for over 800 years, St Mary’s has been a place of worship, gathering, and continuity through generations.

The Voices of St Mary’s interpretation is a gentle and moving celebration of community, love, and belonging. Through rich narration and atmospheric soundscapes, the audio tour shares personal stories, historical moments, and the enduring role this magnificent building has played in the life of the town.

No need to bring a device—we’ll provide you with an easy-to-use audio guide and headphones (or feel free to use your own if preferred). Simply arrive at the church anytime during opening hours and take the tour at your own pace.
