Art Tour of Malahide Castle

Join Malahide Castle's curator Cathal Dowd Smith for this behind-the-scenes tour of the art collection of Malahide Castle.

This tour will delve into the stories, symbols and meaning behind the art collection on display at Malahide Castle. As well as looking at the important collection of portraiture on loan from the National Gallery of Ireland, the tour will look at recent acquisitions and new loans to the Castle which contribute significantly to the telling of Malahide’s history. The curator will also bring the audience through some of the conservation challenges of caring for a significant collection.

Booking isn't required. Places on the tour will be offered on a first come first served basis on the day. Arrive early to avoid disappointment. Please register at the ticket desk located in the visitor centre in the castle's courtyard before arriving to the castle.
