Ardfield Churchyard Nature Garden Ecumenical Service

An Ecumenical event, conducted by Dean Cliff Jeffers and Fr. Anthony O' Mahony will be held at Ardfield Churchyard Nature Garden (Dunnycove Road) on Sunday 17th August 2025 celebrating nature and blessing of pets.

The event will give attendees an opportunity to explore the founding of this Church of Ireland church, built in 1849 until it was partially demolished in 1961 and left derelict. Find out who attended the church in days gone by and who is buried here. From farmers to coastguards, gentry to lighthouse keepers, miners, a boatbuilder and Naval and Military personnel. It is an interesting historical place to visit and is now restored into a peaceful nature garden for locals and visitors to enjoy.
