Archaeology: A Journey Through Time: Unearthing Our Past

This Heritage Week talk will look at archaeology through time and space to examine how our past is unearthed. What is archaeology? How are archaeological sites discovered? What is the science around how sites are dated?

Images and information will be presented around some of the many archaeological techniques used and sites discovered in Mayo, Ireland and beyond.

In addition, there will be a sample of archaeological artefacts from sites excavated in Mayo to see and handle on the day
