A Walking Tour of Cobh: Victorian Seaport

This leisurely walking tour will feature social history and view some of the town’s at-risk heritage buildings.

The tour begins at the Sirius Arts Centre and finishes at the Clock Tower on Lynch’s Quay.

Cobh was transformed from a quiet fishing village into a bustling town during the Napoleonic Wars. In the 1830s, it became a fashionable bathing resort and later it was the departure point for millions of emigrants. The seafront buildings, promenade and original shopfronts give the town a distinctive Victorian vibe.
