18th Century Elphin Windmill

Visit a 18th century windmill for Heritage Week.

The windmill was built in the 1730/40s and was used to stone grind wheat and oats using wind power to drive turn the mill stone, the windmill fell into disrepair until the 1992 when a local voluntary committee came together to restore the windmill and it has been open to the public since 1996 with a mill cottage added in 1998, and a farm museum in 2000.
A woodland park walk opposite the windmill has also be added.
