How to share your completed project with us
Here is your guide on how to share your completed project with us via the Heritage Week website by Tuesday, 4th August to ensure it is listed in time for National Heritage Week.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted their project ideas to us over the past number of weeks. We have received many creative, inspiring, and engaging ideas, and these are listed in the Registered Projects section on this website.
As a next step, we are asking project organisers to submit their completed projects to us via the Project Organisers’ Portal. Take a look at this blog post to read about the information project organisers will have to provide when submitting their project.
Sharing your project documentation
You can share your project with us in a multitude of formats, from videos, audio files and websites, to PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, reports, blogs, online talks or exhibitions, or social media accounts. To find out how to share your project documentation with us when you are submitting your completed project, take a look at the step-by-step guides below.
Sharing your PowerPoint / slideshow presentation
If you have created a PowerPoint or other slideshow presentation to showcase your project, you will have to upload it to Google Drive, create an embed link for it, and paste the link into the project submission form. Don’t know how? Don’t worry, in the video below, we take you through this process step-by-step.

Sharing your project newsletter or report
If you have created a project newsletter or report through Microsoft Word or other text processing program, you will need to save it as a PDF, upload it to Google Drive and paste an embed link to it into the project submission form.

Sharing your project video
If you have created a video to showcase your project, you will need to upload it to YouTube and paste the video link into the project submission form. The video will automatically be embedded in your project listing.

Sharing your project podcast / audio file
If you have created a podcast, oral history recording or other audio file to showcase your project, you will need to upload it to SoundCloud or another audio platform, and paste the link to your file into the project submission form. With the embed code, the audio file will be embedded in your project listing. Sharing your project website, blog, online talk or exhibition
If you have created a dedicated project website, a blog or an online newsletter to showcase your project, simply put the relevant URL (web address) into the ‘Link Url’ field in the website section. If you have participated in a media interview about your project and the article or radio interview are available online, you can include a link to it in that field too. If you are hosting an online talk, workshop or other online event, include the sign-up link to it in the URL field, and don’t forget to include the date and time of your online event in your project description, so people know when to log in!
Sharing your project social media account
If you have created a dedicated social media account to showcase your project (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube), or if you are using your organisation’s social media account(s) to share information about your project, simply include a link to the account(s) in the relevant section in the project submission form.
