A public lecture by Martin Byrne, about the recently discovered collection of letters and papers by Fr. Michael O'Flanagan, dating from 1915 to 1920, while he was Vice President of Sinn Féin.

In 2015, Fr. Michael O'Flanagan's Papers, which had been hidden in Loughglynn in 1920, were discovered. The Papers include fascinating letters to and from Bishop Coyne, who removed Fr. O'Flanagan from Cliffoney and suspended him several times for political activities. Also included are a number of speeches and articles, an autobiography and messages and telegrams to Lloyd George. The papers, hidden on November 1st 1920, provide a unique view of the events and politics of the War of Independence.
