Unveiling of Townlands Marker
Loughros Heritage Group
Top of Loughros Point road, Drimaha, Ardara., Co. Donegal
25 August, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
A guided walk led by Anthony Beese, consultant geologist. A narrative of the coast of West Cork - its submerged landscapes and some of the extreme natural events that have impacted it.
The walk is over two to three miles and along pathways (moderately difficult) between Warren Strand and Owenahincha and then back. There will be stops along the way to view the geology of the sand-choked estuary at Rosscarbery and the wider bay between Owenahincha and Long Strand. Participants can then proceed to the town for refreshments.
