The lost gardens of Glaslough
Castle Leslie
Front Gate / Garden Lodge of Castle Leslie Estate, Co. Monaghan
21 August, 11:30am - 1:30pm
The inaugural SUAS project (Sustainable Uplands Agri-environment Scheme) Open Day will provide insight to the project through a series of short talks and a site visit to a participating upland farm.
Ireland's Uplands are vital natural and cultural heritage sites which have been traditionally managed by upland farmers for generations. The SUAS protect aims to support upland farmers while protecting this significant heritage by remunerating farmers for activities which improve and protect their farmed habitats. Booking is essential as a shuttle bus and refreshments will be provided. Appropriate clothing and footwear is a must for a visit to an exposed upland site.
