Find out about the Greeks by making your own Dekadrachma coin. Each person will learn about the history of the coin and get to make their own to take away.

The Dekadrachma of Syracuse is from the late 5th or 4th century BC. The ten-drachma coin is a special minting and may celebrate the victory of the Syracusans over the Athenians in 413BC or over the Carthaginians in 405BC. It is thought to be one of the 30 pieces of silver given for Christs betrayal. This event supports our work with the Limerick Mental Health Association and will be run by the Friends of the Hunt Museum for adults and children alike. Booking essential via huntmuseum.com/coin
