Third in a series of guided walks concerned with the drowned coast of West Cork, led by Anthony Beese, consultant geologist. The story of the prehistoric landscape and the 1755 tsunami.
Meet at Long Strand Car Park (51.561, -8.976). The route is over two or three miles and follows dune paths and part of the strand (moderately difficult). Along the way, there will be stops to observe the landscape, and to examine display images and soil samples. Suitable for adults and older children (free).
