Whale Watch Ireland 2019
Irish Whale and Dolphin Group
Bloody Bridge, meeting at car park, Co. Down
24 August, 2pm - 5pm
Historians who have used estate archival collections in their research will provide insights into the information they have uncovered and how it has assisted them.
The James Hardiman Library at NUI, Galway holds over 20 collections of archives relating to landed estates in County Galway. Researchers have used our Landed Estates archives to find out more about the histories of their area as well as houses and families. Other participants will show how they have used the Landed Estates database, hosted by the Moore Institute at NUI, Galway, to introduce the history of landed society in schools and to heritage groups.
