Archaeological excavation of two trenches at Raheen na Chluig Medieval Church on Bray Head. Volunteers needed and welcome.

The area around the church may respect the circuit of an enclosure which could be the "Raheen" (small rath) of the place name. During our investigation we will look for evidence of this enclosure feature. All acknowledged features/deposits will be excavated by hand and photographed/drawn and recorded. Fieldwork will be carried out under the supervision of David Mc Ilreavy - Director of the Medieval Bray Project.
