Patrick Street Conducted Tour
Kilkenny Archaeological Society
The Horse Trough, The Parade/Rose Inn Street Junction, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny
22 August, 7pm - 8:30pm
Informative hourly tours of the historic Georgian-style country house, exploring its architecture and history, and its connections to the Beresford and Leslie families.
Dating to 1840, and carefully conserved over the past fifteen years, Corravahan retains all its original period features. This "architectural gem" remains an extraordinarily intact example of Italianate Classical architecture. Corravahan stands as a fitting tribute to the works of William Farrell, some-time architect to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners. A tour of the house will be followed by access to the surrounding gardens. Tours on the hour; last admission one hour before closing.
