A series of captivating lectures given by local historians are taking place over the coming week on various aspects of St. Colman's Cathedral e.g. its music, architecture & period of its construction.

St. Colman’s Cathedral is a Pugin Neo Gothic architectural gem, dominating the skyline of Cobh town and Cork Harbour and is currently celebrating its 100 year milestone. This lecture series will give the visitors a sense of what this period was like dating back to 1868 and how they managed to achieve building this magnificent Cathedral without any of today’s modern machinery’s. This is just one of the events planned over the next two weeks to celebrate the Cathedrals centenary.
