This year we are going virtual! Every year we visit the coal mining sites of the Slieveardagh Hills, Co. Tipperary. It is a time for ex-miners, enthusiasts and newcomers (young and old alike) to tour round the sites in the company of men who worked in the mines. The last mine closed over 30 years ago, and our project this year ensures we will have a tour to offer into the future. Michael 'King' Cleere and artist Katy Goodhue have travelled round the sites and have put together a series of short videos. These videos will be hosted on our new blog post and we will be uploading a new post with a video and other information about a different mine site online each day during National Heritage Week 2021.
