Sacred Spaces in Kilteevan Parish

Kilteevan community has worshipped at numerous and different sites in the parish over the centuries. This digital project will take you to the oldest known ecclesiastical foundation in Kilteevan with its cross-inscribed slab, the holy wells and their traditions, a medieval church ruin and abbey, a Mass rock where the people worshipped in secret, and burial grounds including cillíní. The final site visited holds an unique and invaluable parish treasure which was created over 120 years ago. These sites are the foundations which have shaped our parish and are intrinsic links to our past, present and future.
