Kill Ambush: History Talk
Brian Mc Cabe
Kll History Group
The project will involve a commemoration of the 'Kill Ambush', a key local event during the War of Independence, which took place one hundred years ago in August 1920.
It will comprise a talk on the event by Kildare's Historian in Residence, which will take place outdoors at the 'John Devoy' Memorial, just outside the village of Kill. The organisers will also gather local knowledge and recollections of the event, and hope to share results of the project through Group newsletter and video of talk.
The talk will take place on Monday, 17th August, starting at 7.30 p.m.
