Waterford County Museum/Gallowshill Project

Explore the story behind Gallowshill and some the unique artefacts uncovered during community excavations at the hill over the pastvfew years.

The artefacts will be on display at Waterford County Musuem for a limited time only. During Heritage week the Museum will post a series of short videos about some of these fascinating finds from a 12th century silver penny, a medieval token, to prehistoric flint and more. https://www.facebook.com/waterfordcountymuseum

The Gallows Hill exhibition has been kindly funded by the Heritage Council, community grant scheme 2021. Gallows Hill excavation 2021 has been funded by the @Royal Irish Academy.
