This project includes an online blog exploring the rich history and heritage associated with the placename Halfway House on the main Waterford Cheekpoint road. From a crossing point on the Ballycanvan stream developed a unique and fascinating early industrial site with includes a pub, forge, shop, post office, several homes, two water mills, an ice house and the largest concentration of lime kilns known to the author in Waterford and perhaps countrywide.
