Castletimon Story Map

This community-driven project brings together local volunteers to record, maintain, and protect the site, with over 200 headstones already documented. Local schools have in the past contributed to heritage trails, fostering intergenerational learning and community pride.
A new GIS-based StoryMap will give people worldwide digital access to historical and genealogical records, including a surname-searchable function to help connect with ancestry. This resource removes physical barriers, allowing anyone—regardless of location or mobility—to explore the site’s history.
Through hands-on involvement and innovative technology, we’re making heritage accessible, inclusive, and valued by all. This storymap will be uploaded during Heritage Week 2025 on the website Our Wicklow Heritage.
The Wicklow Community Archaeology Project is funded by The Heritage Council and Wicklow County Council through the County Heritage Plan fund 2025.
