Ballinakill Abbey Conservation Project

Conservation works at Ballinakill Abbey were funded by The Heritage Council. Multi-discipline surveys and reports on the condition of the monument were required to inform all agencies on the best management and plan for the site. A lot went into the preparation of works, and we felt it important for our community to have access to them and realise our responsibility in caring for all our heritage, be it wildlife, flora, built and archaeological heritage. Galway Community Archaeology Project Website hosts our on-line digital event in showcasing the work thus far, and we will add to this as works progress.
