Saint George's Arts and Heritage Centre

Saint George's Arts and Heritage Centre was established in a former church in 2019.

We are currently completing phase one of a major restoration of the building which has included re-roofing the entire building, window and door restorations, plastering and providing new facilities such as disability access and office space.

This activity will be a walk and talk around the centre. We'll tell you about the joy, passion and patience required when restoring a 220 building in need of a lot of TLC. By the end of 2021, we will have spent €500,000 on the building.

  • Tuesday 17th August 7.30pm
  • A walk and talk around the ongoing conservation and restorartion works at Saint George's Arts and Heritage Centre, a former Church of Ireland church dating to 1801. History and building conservation will be focal points of the talk. Meet at the entrance to Saint George's, George Street, Mitchelstown P67 XC61
