1970s OFFICE BLOCK ARCHITECTURE- how it changed how Dubliners worked

Heritage Office
Dublin City Council

In this engaging talk, architect and architectural historian Carole Pollard talks about the changing conditions of architectural practice, the workplace, and the city landscape in Dublin in the 1970s through a study of the office buildings of Andrew Devane of Robinson Keefe & Devane. Devane's Dublin office buildings include the iconic Irish Life Centre on Lower Abbey Street, Stephen Court on Stephen's Green and the sadly demolished AIB Bank Centre in Ballsbridge.

The View from the Desk - how office block architecture of the 1970s changed the way Dubliners worked.
